Our newest family member

This is Vanna. She is our newest member of the family. She was an impulse buy, if you will.
We got her as a rescue from the vet. We were only supposed to be visiting the kitties.
I am not sure how this happened. The girls weren't even with us when we found her. This one is all on me.
I guess you could say I am a sucker for calico cats. My cat growing up was a bobtail calico. Plus, Vanna has mismatched eyes. That makes her quirky. And, I like quirky.
And, to top it all off, our other cat - who is perfectly fine by the way (just old and cranky) - is named Vern. Vern and Vanna. It was just meant to be.

Playroom REDO

Sometimes you get a crazy whim, and you do things you really weren't expecting to do. We are moving next summer - from Florida back to Virginia. The playroom really didn't need to be redone. However ... sometimes you get a crazy whim.
Anyway, the old playroom was basically our old living room moved upstairs. If you visited us when we first had kids, then this is the room you best remember. It has been around for like 10 years.
Now, though, it looks like a little girls' oasis. I just LOVE all the bright colors! (And, the ugly old couch got a new more stylish look.)
Anyway, that's my crazy whim for the week. (Well, maybe not. I got a few more up my sleeve.)
