Fell off the face of the earth again ...
I have decided that I am really not good at this. I kinda stink at making a commitment to something these days.

YIKES!
Do you ever wonder why some things just can't be easy? When I had my pre-op visit for my lower wisdom teeth extraction, I was told that:
a.) I wouldn't bruise because I was still relatively young enough that this should not be a problem.
b.) I shouldn't have any nerve damage - a common side effect because of the nerve that runs along the lower jaw - because my wisdom teeth were fully erupted, and the roots appeared to be above the nerve.
c. Dry sockets should not be a problem because I am not a smoker.
So far, two of the three have come to fruition. I am seriously worried about the dry socket thing. How could I not be?
This too shall pass, I suppose.

Well ...
I think I may have discovered the secret to jumpstarting my weight loss ... having my wisdom teeth ripped out of my head. So far, I have managed to get one pitiful milkshake down since dinner last night. And, the horror of horrors is that I tried to drink a sip of coke and had to push it back far into the fridge, so I wouldn't be tempted to try that again. OUCH!!!
I also think that this is going to impede my blogging progress. I ca only type one-handed since I am currently holding an ice pack to my poor swollen cheeks. I will try to do better once I am able to think coherently and am not delirious from pain or lack of food.
Be back soon.
By the way, your mid-30s is not the time to do this. I just feel old and decrepit and pitiful. Ok. Pity party is over. Gotta go stop the two-year-old from stealing any more Cheetos before dinner. Ooooh, Cheetos!!! And so the torture begins again.

Ok, so I stink at this ...
Well, I noticed that it had been awhile since I started this thing. And, this blog sat empty and sparse for far too long. I am going to try this again, and I hope this time I stick with it. If I just try to post something short once a day for a while, maybe it will become a habit. We shall see. (Keep your fingers crossed for me.)
It's the little things ...
Moments like this ... make my heart melt. Sure, they squabble and pick on each other and fight. But the heart of the matter is that they are sisters. And they do love one another. And, they would do anything for the other when it comes right down to it.And, that is what makes my heart melt.
I love these two.

Introduction
Well, I always say that writing is one of my hobbies, but if I were truly honest with you and myself, I haven't done much writing lately. It seems that having children limited by ability to write. It is hard to find a moment to myself, let alone a moment to actually formulate a sentence or ... whoa now! ... an actual paragraph. The most writing I do these days concerns a random e-mail or Facebook posting.
I used to write ... quite a bit, actually. And, that is why I started this blog. I wanted to polish up my skills. I want to jump back in the literary world. I want to remember why I started writing in the first place. It has been such a long time. And, I have missed it. So, here goes nothing. My attempt to remember why. Wish me luck!
